Introduction
Initially, the posts about my previous dives won’t be in any particular order. Once I go through everything I would like to share, it should be ordered by dates.
This was the latest scuba diving trip I did. The location was Mošćenička Draga, Croatia. We did 2 dives and the highlight was definitely the octopus we saw on the second dive.
I just got a new wetsuit and I wanted to take it deep. I like Croatia as the floor can drop quite quickly, so I was at about 35m within 10min after getting in the water. There was some current on the first dive but it calmed by the second one.
Now for the pictures
You can see a lot of different species of sea slugs. Due to the current, I managed to only take a few good pictures. This one is called “dalmatinček” or to translate it to English, the dalmatian. You can see why.
And a few more pictures. The second one, of the corals, doesn’t really do it justice. I still need to practice photographing these types of scenes but I am sure I will get it eventually. It also doesn’t help that my camera is meant for macro photography.
And for the highlight of the day, the octopus. It hid away in a hole before I got a chance to get to it but I was glad to even see one. They are quite a rare sight unfortunately and I would love to see more of them.
I would estimate that it was a common octopus and of medium size but this is just me guessing.
Pretty soon I plan to go back and maybe do a night dive which is a completely different experience. I would always recommend a night dive, especially on a location you visited often during the day. It is literally like night and day.
